Blooming lovely

I came across this jacaranda near the end of my walk this afternoon, (follow the path to the right, and I am 7 minutes away).

How lovely. Look at that jacaranda against the blue sky, and then the green of the hedge.

Have you noticed how colours in nature never clash or look out of place?

If I tried to put purple next to green in my home it would give me a headache.

This is a beautiful photo. I love blossom trees, I always hope for a windless April in England, because the wonderful over-the-top pink blossoms of Prunus Kanzan are easily blown away.

Brought to the UK from Japan in Victorian times, Kanzan is one of the small gardener's favourite trees in the UK. Doesn't grow too big, doesn't have invasive roots, and every Spring it puts on a show of the most startlingly pink frothy blossoms.

I wonder if the Jacaranda is related to the Kanzan?
