Small hill - big battle

This little slope may not look like much - but to me it is a killer! It comes towards the end of a long walk - most of it uphill. The rest is hard enough but this "mountain" is the final straw!

Interesting picture, Mike:)

Once again, the title caught my eye:
"Small hill-big battle"...

I've posted once a link here in your blog about Pietro Ubaldi's book...I love his books, specially one called "A GRANDE BATALHA - THE GREAT BATTLE".

Mike:)

I forgot to mention that the Portuguese word "GRANDE" also means "BIG", among other meanings, but i'm not sure about the exactly translation of that book's title...
Anyway, it's still a very interesting subject:)

Hi Gran, It has the same effect on me! Odd thing is, the other parts of the walk are longer and steeper, so I am not sure why this one knackers me!

Mike,
You did say this hill is at the end of a long walk, most of which is uphill....an idea has just occured to me...ready..start at the top of the mountain and go the other way, then it will be mostly downhill....and please can we see the picture taken from the top looking back down ...
